In the our research group, we often discuss current and classical research papers. The emphasis lies on work on automated machine learning systems, but interesting papers from other areas are welcome. The reading group takes place irregularly and will be announced via a mailing list and can be found in this google doc. To be added, please contact Matthias Feurer.

Participants read the selected papers individually in preparation for the meeeting. During the meeting, the person in charge will give a short presentation summarizing the paper and lead a discussion about the paper during the meeting. The target audience of the reading group consists of academic staff and interested guests, comparable to a staff seminar, Oberseminar or a seminar in a graduate school. We encourage students, especially those writing their thesis or doing their project in our group, to participate. Nevertheless, no ECTS points can be earned for the reading group.
